How to register (new user)
Dial *224#

Select Language (English or Swahili)

Select the self registration option

Enter account number

Press 1 to accept terms and conditions

Enter date of birth details as requested

Enter card number digits as requested

Enter debit card’s expiry date

Receive confirmation screen of successful registration

Temporary mobile banking PIN will be sent to your device via SMS
How to change PIN
Dial *224#

Enter temporary mobile banking PIN

Enter new PIN

Re-enter new PIN

Confirmation screen of successful PIN change
How to reset PIN
Dial *224#

Select 1 for "Forgot PIN"

Input "1" to continue

Input your account number and other personal details as requested (details pertaining to your date of birth and debit card details)

Input the new PIN and confirm.

Your PIN is successfully changed.

How to top up airtime
For your own number:

Enter PIN

Select option 4: Airtime Top up

Select operator (Safaricom Airtime or TELKOM AIRTIME)

Select to purchase airtime for your number

Enter amount. No decimals allowed

Select account or credit card to debit

Press 1 to confirm details

You see a confirmation screen

For another number:

Dial *233#

Enter PIN

Select option 6: Buy Airtime Top up

Select operator (Airtel/MTN/Africell/UTL)

Select to purchase airtime for Other Number

Select if it's a one-time/first-time transaction or to an existing beneficiary

Enter the mobile number if it's a one-time transaction

Enter airtime amount

Select the transaction Account

Press 1 to confirm details

You will see a confirmation screen

Dial *224#

Enter PIN and send

Select the ‘Cash Send’ option 1 from list

Enter beneficiary's mobile number

Enter the amount in multiples of 1000

Select account to send from

Create a 4-digit access PIN for the recepient

Confirm the 4 digit PIN created at step 7

Confirm the transaction, and receive a confirmation note of the transaction

An SMS will be sent to the number with the details of the Cash send purchase

Send the PIN separately to the recepient
How to do a fund transfer (Absa to Absa)

Enter PIN

Select option 5: Bank Services

Select option 3: Fund Transfer

Select option 1: To own Absa A/C, or Option 2: To other Absa A/C

Select registered (If beneficiary is on your list of payees) or unregistered (and enter the account number)

Enter amount to be transferred. Decimals not allowed

Select account to transfer from

Press 1 to confirm the transaction

Confirmation screen is displayed
