How to register and manage your account
  • How to register (new user)

    Personal

    1. Visit www.absabank.co.ke
    2. Click on internet banking on the landing page
    3. Click on "Register Now"
    4. Select "I am a Retail Banking Customer" and click next
    5. Enter customer information and accept the terms and conditions and click next 
    6. Customer receives OTP via SMS 
    7. Enter OTP and click next
    8. Create username and password and click next
    9. You see a confirmation screen

     

    Business

    1. Visit www.absabank.co.ke
    2. Click on internet banking on the landing page
    3. Click on "Register Now"
    4. Select "I am a Business Banking Customer" and click next
    5. Enter customer information and accept the terms and conditions and click next 
    6. Customer receives OTP via SMS 
    7. Enter OTP and click next
    8. Create username and password and click next
    9. You see a confirmation screen
  • Manage beneficiaries

    1. Visit www.absabank.co.ke
    2. Click on internet banking on the landing page
    3. Enter username and password
    4. Click login
    5. Go to Transfer & Payments tab
    6. Click on Manage My Payee(Right hand side)
    7. Your list of saved beneficiaries is displayed. Click on any of them to delete or edit the details
    8. To save a new beneficiary, click on "Add payee"
    9. Select the Transaction type under which you want to save the payee and click next
    10. Populate the payee details and click next
    11. Input the OTP
    12. The beneficiary is saved!
  • Obtain statements

    1. Visit www.absabank.co.ke
    2. Click on internet banking on the landing page
    3. Enter username and password
    4. Click login
    5. Go to Account & Transactions tab
    6. Click on the account number whose statement you want to view
    7. Click on Account Activity/e-statement
    8. Select the statement duration (not more than 3 months at a go) and click Search              
    9. Click on the pdf/Excel option at the top to download the statement.
  • Obtain proof of payment

     

    1. Visit www.absabank.co.ke
    2. Click on internet banking on the landing page
    3. Enter username and password
    4. Click login
    5. Go to Transfer & Payment tab
    6. Click on View Payments History (right side of the page)
    7. Select the Transaction Type. Any successful payment will have the option “Generate” on the extreme right.
    8. Click on Generate and click on Download
  • Download and view account confirmation letter

    1. Visit www.absabank.co.ke
    2. Click on internet banking on the landing page
    3. Enter username and password
    4. Click login
    5. Click on Account Confirmation Letter(Right hand side)
    6. The Account details are displayed.Click on "Review and Download"
    7. The Account Confirmation page is displayed
    8. Click on Download for the Account Confirmation Letter to be downloaded in PDF format
  • Manage standing instructions

    1. Visit www.absabank.co.ke
    2. Click on internet banking on the landing page
    3. Enter username and password
    4. Click login
    5. Go to Transfer & Payments tab
    6. Click on Manage Standing Instruction(Right hand side)
    7. Your existing standing instructions are displayed. Click on any of them to delete or edit the details
    8. To create a new standing instruction, click on "Set up a Standing Instruction"
    9. Select the Source Account
    10. Select the payee account (This is either SI to Own Account or SI to A Absa Kenya Customer)
    11. For SI to A Absa Kenya Customer, enter account number, amount to transfer, first payment date and frequency. 
    12. Choose when the transfers should stop and click the check box to save the beneficiary on your list of payees
    13. Click Next and Confirm
    14. Enter OTP
    15. The standing Instruction is set up.
  • Manage payee (business)

    1. Visit www.absabank.co.ke
    2. Click on internet banking on the landing page
    3. Enter username and password
    4. Click login
    5. Go to Transfer & Payments tab
    6. Click on Manage My Payee (right-hand side)
    7. Your list of saved beneficiaries is displayed. Click on any of them to delete or edit the details
    8. To save a new beneficiary, click on "Add payee"
    9. Select the transaction type under which you want to save the payee and click next
    10. Populate the payee details and click next
    11. Input the OTP
    12. The beneficiary is saved!
  • Manage transaction workflow (business)

    1. Visit www.absabank.co.ke
    2. Click on internet banking on the landing page
    3. Enter username and password
    4. Click login
    5. The first signatory initiates a transaction and input an OTP to complete it
    6. The 2nd user logs into www.absabank.co.ke
    7. Go to Dashboard tab
    8. Select Pending Authorisation from drop down and click "Go"
    9. Select the transaction to be authorised from list and click on "Authorise"
  • Download and view letter of credit

    1. Visit www.absabank.co.ke
    2. Click on internet banking on the landing page
    3. Enter username and password
    4. Click login
    5. Click on the Customer Service Tab
    6. Click on "Letter of Credit"(Right hand side)
    7. Click on "Download Letter of Credit Request Form"
    8. The Letter of Credit request form is downloaded in PDF format.
How to purchase electricity
  • How to buy electricity

    1. Visit www.absabank.co.ke
    2. Click on internet banking on the landing page
    3. Enter username and password
    4. Click log in
    5. Select 'Transfer & payment' tab
    6. Select 'Pay my Utility Bills'
    7. Select 'New Payee' under Bill Payment
    8. Select 'SERVICES AND UTILITIES' under Biller Type
    9. Select 'Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) or PataPower KPLC - Prepaid and enter account number and click next
    10. Select account to pay from and enter amount (not less than KES 200.00) and click next
    11. Check and confirm Bill payment and click confirm
How to do a fund transfer
  • How to do a fund transfer (Absa to Absa)

    1. Visit www.absabank.co.ke
    2. Click on internet banking on the landing page
    3. Enter username and password
    4. Click log in
    5. Select 'Transfer & payment' tab
    6. Select account you want to transfer funds from and payee and click next
    7. For a registered payee, enter amount, payment description and click next (For a new payee, enter customer details and follow the next steps)
    8. Review and confirm transaction details
    9. Enter OTP and you will get a confirmation screen
  • How to do bank to wallet transfers

    1. Visit www.absabank.co.ke
    2. Click on internet banking on the landing page
    3. Enter username and password
    4. Click login
    5. Click on Load Airtel Money or Load Mpesa
    6. Select account to transfer from then Select 'New Payee'
    7. Top up 'My mobile number' or 'Other mobile number'
    8. Enter amount and add to payee list if you wish and click next
    9. Confirm details and click next
    10. Enter OTP and click next to complete transaction
  • How to do a real-time gross settlement (RTGS)

    1. Visit www.absabank.co.ke
    2. Click on internet banking on the landing page
    3. Enter username and password
    4. Click login
    5. Go to Transfer & Payments tab
    6. Select the source/transactional account
    7. Under "Real Time Gross Settlement", Select New Payee or the name of an already saved payee and Click Next
    8. For a new payee, Populate the customer's name, account number, physical address and city
    9. Under "Beneficiary Bank", Click on Lookup and select the bank name from the drop down list of banks
    10. Click on Search and then click on the branch name
    11. Select the currency and transaction amount
    12. Select the reason for payment and click on the check box if you want to add the beneficiary to the payee list
    13. Click Next and accept the transaction charges
    14. Click Next and input the OTP
    15. You see a confirmation screen of successful RTGS
  • How to do an international transfer

    1. Visit www.absabank.co.ke
    2. Click on internet banking on the landing page
    3. Enter username and password
    4. Click login
    5. Go to Transfer & Payments tab
    6. Select the source/transactional account
    7. Under "International Funds Transfer", Select New Payee or the name of an already saved payee and Click Next
    8. For a new payee, Populate the customer's name, IBAN/account number, physical address, city and country.
    9. Under "Beneficiary Bank", input the SWIFT code and Click on verify or look up the SWIFT code
    10. Populate the intermediary bank swift code and click on "Verify" (not mandatory)
    11. Select the currency and transaction amount
    12. Select the reason for payment and select who will bear the transaction costs(sender, beneficiary or shared)
    13. Choose if you want to add the beneficiary to the payee list and Click Next to accept the transaction charges
    14. Click Next and input the OTP
    15. You see a confirmation screen of successful International Transfer
How to pay your Absa credit card online
  • How to pay your Absa credit card

    1. Visit www.absabank.co.ke
    2. Click on internet banking on the landing page
    3. Enter username and password
    4. Click login
    5. Go to "Pay my utility bills" 
    6. Select your card under "Absa Card"  or select New Payee and input the card number  and click next
    7. Select account to pay from
    8. Select amount to pay and click next
    9. Confirm details and click confirm.
    10. An OTP will be sent if you selected New Payee.
